Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Charlbury-Hixet Wood

Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 7 November 2022
Coming into force: 14 November 2022
This Order is being introduced because of cabling works which are anticipated
to be completed on 27 November 2022.The works will take place between
08:00 and 17:00 daily.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or
waiting in the whole length of Hixet Wood
Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are
in force.
Exemptions are included for police, fire and ambulance services and for the
works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed
section of road.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is SHEEP STREET,
FISHERS LANE, DANCERS HILL, BROWNS LANE, ENSTONE ROAD, THE
SLADE, STURT ROAD, UNNAMED OSCAR STREET and vice versa
.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the
works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
