Official Website of Charlbury Town Council
The Town Council meets twice each month and sponsors a room for the Conservation Advisory Committee. All meetings are open to the public. Members of the public wishing to address the Council may do so by arrangement with the Clerk.
Background:
Charlbury Bowls Club car park is leased by the Town Council from Oxfordshire County Council. The bowls club building is leased by the Bowls Club from the Town Council. As part of the lease agreements, the Bowls Club undertakes low level maintenance on the shrubbery in the car park and OCC maintains the trees.
Current proposal:
A Ticknell Piece resident has suggested that the car park area is tidied up with the addition of a natural planting scheme. The lease with OCC states that this can be undertaken provided that there is a long-term maintenance plan in place . The Town Council has agreed to meet the cost of an annual prune of the area.
Therefore, we are now in a position to invite the views of neighbours on how the planting scheme should look, subject to the follwoing provisos:
We look forward to hearing your thoughts at the residents’ meeting.
