Thank you so much to all the wonderful people who came along last Saturday for some energetic raking, sowing and trampling. .
Yellow rattle is an annual wildflower which weakens vigorous grasses, reducing competition for a wide range of meadow plants. By sowing yellow rattle this Autumn, we aim to prepare the ground for species-rich meadow seed to be sown next Summer. This is all part of our Mill Field Meadow Restoration Project 2023-25.
This project is a work in progress so watch this space for shout outs for help and for updates on plans for Mill Field.
