Vacancy in Office of Town Councillor

The Town Council has a vacancy for a town councillor. If you are interested in standing for this role then please send an expression of interest to Lisa at clerk@charlbury-tc.gov.uk

The closing date for applications is 10th January. Co-option will take place a the Town Council meeting on 22nd January.

Consultation

The residents’ parking consultation has now closed. The decision now lies with Oxfordshire County Council. Its decision will be posted here.

We want your views on our Nature Recovery Framework

We know that the UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world and that restoring our nature and wildlife needs to take place urgently and at a landscape scale. National and regional nature recovery strategies are now being developed – but these need to be translated into specific local actions.

Charlbury Town Council is therefore working with the neighbouring parishes of Finstock and Fawler and has developed a local Nature Recovery Framework (NRF).  Based on local knowledge, data and engagement with landowners, land managers and residents, the goal of the NRF is to expand, improve and connect wildlife-rich habitats. We are being supported in this project by Community Action Group (CAG) Oxfordshire.

We have developed a draft NRF which is currently out for consultation. We invite you to fill in this questionnaire to let us know your views:
